On June 11th, 2025, we gathered for an unforgettable Cultural Celebration Day, inspired by the theme “One Commonwealth, Many Traditions: Celebrating Our State’s Rich Tapestry.” It was a joyful and meaningful occasion that brought together people from across the Commonwealth to honor the richness of our cultures and the shared values that unite us.
From the moment guests arrived, the energy was full of color, music, and warmth. Traditional attire, cultural food tables, and a vibrant cultural parade filled the venue with life and meaning. Children smiled as they explored different tables, sampled dishes from various countries, and watched cultural performances with awe and curiosity.
As we do each year, we opened the day with the National Anthem, beautifully performed by Representative Eddie Day Pashinski. His voice set a heartfelt tone for a day grounded in unity and mutual respect. The rest of the program featured cultural showcases, musical performances, and meaningful exchanges that reflected the spirit of belonging and celebration.
We were grateful to receive strong support from our Host Committee, made up of public officials who champion inclusion and community across Pennsylvania. We also had the pleasure of hearing heartfelt remarks from several legislators throughout the day. Their reflections reminded us of the importance of honoring our varied cultural heritages while working toward a shared future. A few highlights from their remarks are shared below:
We were deeply honored to receive two official citations in recognition of our work—one from Senator Christine Tartaglione and one from Representative Joseph C. Hohenstein. These acknowledgments affirm our commitment to fostering understanding, empathy, and dialogue among all communities in our state.
Cultural Celebration Day was more than an event—it was a moment of connection, learning, and joy. Through the sharing of food, traditions, and conversations, we witnessed the richness of our Commonwealth and the strength that comes from embracing it together. We are grateful to everyone who joined us, supported us, and helped bring this day to life. We look forward to continuing to build bridges and create spaces of belonging—one celebration at a time.
