An International Women’s Day Panel was organized for Peace Islands Youth Academy members on March 8th, 2020. We were honored with having three different guest speakers come in and speak to our members regarding women empowerment and women’s rights. Our guest speakers were the following: Yornelis Tejada from the Women’s Rights Information Center, Hafza Girdap from Advocates of Silenced Turkey (AST), and Muharrem Atlig (a clinical psychologist from a Veteran’s Hospital).
