We recently returned from an incredible cultural exchange trip to Greece and Romania as of September 18, 2024, where our group had the opportunity to experience a blend of humanitarian work, cultural exploration, and historical education.

Our journey began in Greece, where we visited Morea Peninsula and explored the vibrant city of Athens. We toured iconic landmarks like the Acropolis, Parthenon, and Temple of Athena Nike, as well as historic neighborhoods such as Plaka and Monastiraki Flea Market. We also witnessed the changing of the guard at Syntagma Square, strolled through the National Garden, and took in panoramic views of Athens from Lycabettus Hill. Along the way, we learned about Greek history and culture through visits to the Byzantine Museum, Zappeion Palace, and Panathenaic Stadium, the site of the first modern Olympic Games.

One of the most meaningful aspects of the trip was our time spent with refugee families in Greece. We partnered with the Synesis Pigi Foundation to distribute hygiene products to refugee families and listen to their powerful stories. These family visits provided a deep and personal understanding of the challenges they face, and the resilience they show. Our group was humbled by their strength and honored to contribute in a small way to their well-being.
