Old St. Joseph’s Church (Wednesday, May 13th) – Peace Islands Institute held an interfaith program with the Philadelphia Interfaith Community at Old St. Joseph’s Church in Philadelphia. The program was a dinner and talk, the subject of which was “Extremism and the Negative Impact on Religious Understanding”. Imam Bekir Aksoy, gave a historical overview of and sociological perspective of the causes of extremism in religion and society.
Participants enjoyed dinner, and had a discussion as well as a question and answer session.
