On December 9th Peace Islands Institute joined the Philadelphia Police Department Asian American Advisory Council to commemorate the lives of the Asian-American police officers who lost their lives while on duty in the Philadelphia Police Department.

Peace Islands Institute contributed by participating in the featured auction where the benefits will go to the families of the fallen officers. In the event Peace Islands representatives were recognized for their efforts and leadership in the community.

In attendance were the distinguished members of the law-enforcement community from the federal and the state departments including Philadelphia Police Department Commissioner Charles Ramsey and the Deputy Commissioner Nola Joyce.
