Let Me Breathe: Film Screening and Panel Discussion

Sunday, March 28
1 PM EST

A revealing and shocking documentary about racial injustice in the United States against Black men and women.
Let Me Breathe is an award-winning documentary that reveals the systematic racism that is deeply rooted in society.

Based on the story of award-winning African-American journalist Joyce Davis, the documentary exposes documents from official police records and brings to light shocking evidence of the arrests and murder of African Americans in 2011-2020.

The documentary follows the protests that took place in the streets of New York, Washington, Cleveland, and other US cities.
On the eve of the trial of Derek Chauvin, the officer who murdered George Floyd, now more than ever most we lift up and amplify the voices of those most affected by police brutality.

Peace Islands Institute PA continues to prioritize creating a path towards racial equity and equality through reeducation and encouraging the community to actively be a part of the solution.

PIIPA will be screening Let Me Breathe on March 28th at 1 pm, following will be a panel discussion with the director Thomas Sideris, producer Sait Onal, journalist Joyce Davis, and moderated by James Thompson. It will be a 2-hour event, concluding with the question, what can we each do to help to fight this conflict and hatred?
